Current news - especially if they are still unfolding - have become the favorite topic of many bloggers. Because of the fact that bloggers can easily update content instantly, blogged news are more current than anything found on the television or newspapers. While other media require editors to approve the content they release to the public, blog posts are instantly published, so they can reach the reader much more swiftly. Certainly this can be good and bad at the same time.

One of the most famous cases when blogs released news before other media, probably took place in 2005, when London was struck by terrorists. The photos a man took from his cell phone as people were being evacuated from a subway car near an explosion, were first released online within an hour. Personal accounts were also blogged right after the photos were released, and people around the world were able to read and see pictures of the event thanks to material published by bloggers.

And since these reports were not edited or filtered by anyone, readers could get a real feel of what was happening. News that come through blogs are often personalized. This could be the beginning of a new era of journalism, one that allows news material to be exchanged directly among the public.

Because of the fact that none of the materials were edited or filtered, readers had a real taste of what being there felt like. News being reported in blogs are often more personalized. This creates a wonderful opportunity for news to be reshaped and be handled entirely by the public.

So, if someone blogs something untruthful, it has potential to spread like wildfire. Maybe you agree with the concept of news being delivered through blogs, or maybe you don't, but you probably still recognize that this new mean of spreading news has potential for tomorrow.
